He was born on May 7th, in Brooklyn, New York, growing up in East Flatbush. At the age of seven, he met those who would be his future friends and business partners—Richardo Johnson, now known as Ricky Blaze; Kevin, now known as Tek (Mad Vybez); and Jamel, also known as DJ Nitro (Mad Vybez).

His passions have always been basketball, football, video games, poetry, graphics and dancing. His love for dancing led him to become one of Brooklyn's best, and he went on to dance with Vybez Squad. Combining his love for dancing with his interest in graphic design, Tristan created a group in 2004 with fellow dancers  Dread Vybez, and Kion Vybez. One year later, after incredible success, the group dismantled and Mr. Shadow continued his dreams of dancing, DJing,Promoting and graphic design.

After entering and winning several dance competitions, Tristan began promoting his talents, eventually falling under the wing of Ricky Blaze, an old childhood friend. With Ricky's help, he began promoting, and later hosting, parties, concerts, and major events. Eventually, his success skyrocketed in both New York and Texas, where he moved to for some time. Currently, Mr. Shadow is still growing and marketing himself as a graphic designer, DJ, and party promoter.
